Oh OK then Pee Wee. I played from junior school right up to age 49. I did a week long FA Caoching course before managing a Kent County League team where we won either a cup or league trophy or both every season for 5 years on the trot before I moved abroad.

Been great for us but he has bad runs of form at times. Happened at Villa when he made a series of rickets.

He is in decline now but great squad man to have. Just should not be first choice.

I am not sure why Burke was not thought good enough yet for a stint at CB in some games? I am guessing that he is happy to go on loan and wait for his time whereas Oxford is demanding more first team opportunities and we want to keep him.

Oxford hopefully will replace Collins in the pecking order soon but needs more game time to get used to the physicality and pace of the Premiership. Time to find out if he really is the real deal starting this Wednesday. I am hoping he really makes his case to step up on a more permanent basis. It will be a silver lining to a dreadful start of the season. Same applies to this Fernandes geezer. Hoping he turns out to be this season's Lanzini.

He is excellent at some things and not so good at others. I've no problem with him playing. Nice to see a player with some heart and fight in our team. He shouldn't always play as you have to pick your side based on the opposition but he isn't the sole reason we are losing games.

He's been poor and his legs are going but his positional sense has always been one of his strongest attributes.

For those that do, we understand a lot of those last ditch blocks are down to him being out of position in the first place.

He doesn't read the game very well, he is out of position far too much, he is slow not just in pace but also in body adjustment and thinking, his distribution is also poor.

But yeah apart from that he's ace!

Oh do piss off Pee Wee. Collins is a superb defender. His ball distribution and slow pace means he's not a top class CB but to say he's not "a very good defender and never has been." is just rubbish.

However I find him useful to have at the club because seeing all the people that rate him helps me identify those that I shouldn't waste my time discussing football with.

A bit wonky at times so far this season. Will make some mistakes as we go. Will probably spend some benchtime in the premier league . Then be called on and be an absolute mountain for a spell singlehandedly winning us points.
